Spring is Sweater Weather, Too.

Finally, winter is gone… unless you live in Minnesota or somewhere only slightly worse, like Siberia. But with winter leaving comes Mother Nature’s bipolar step sister – the time between Winter and Summer that consists of snow one hour and 80 degree weather the next. Most call this spring.

We are so amped up about sipping Zima’s in the pool all summer that we forget it can still be pretty damn chilly most of the spring. That’s why you shouldn’t be putting your sweaters away just yet.

Luckily, we just bought 2 new Amazon Essentials cable knit crew neck sweaters that provide the much needed warmth, and more importantly great look. If you don’t know, the cable knit crew neck sweater is a classic look – it’s a cotton sweater where the cotton yarn is spun into the classic cable pattern. Everyone should have at least one in their closet.

But most “name-brand” sweaters cost hundreds of dollars. We have one from Ralph Lauren that cost $175. For such a classic part of our closet, it was only a matter of time before someone – in this case, Amazon – duped the look at a fraction of the cost. And that’s exactly what they did – the look of the Amazon Essentials version is exactly the same and the quality and craftsmanship appear to be the same as well. But instead of paying $175, Amazon’s dupe goes for around $30 – that’s more than 80% off!

And because Amazon doesn’t plaster their label everywhere, it’s an unlabeled luxury.
